The church has not forgotten the dedication of the previous pastors, and it is Pastor Hawkins’s desire to keep this dream flourishing.

Meet Our Pastor
Pastor Nyrone Hawkins
On June 9, 2024, our sixteenth Pastor, Rev. Nyrone Hawkins was installed. Rev. Hawkins was selected to oversee the pulpit in January, 2023, by Dr. Keith Norman, Senior Servant at First Baptist Church Broad, and son of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church. Dr. Norman served as the overseer during Rev. Stokes’s absent, and was instrumental in addressing the needs of the Servant Leaders and members.
Pastor Hawkins has been married to the love of his life, Yolanda D. Hawkins for 23 years. Their daughter, Nyia Simone, is an 18 year old freshman at Alabama A&M University.
Rev. Nyrone Hawkins was called to preach the gospel in March, 2008, and was ordained in November, 2018, and served in various capacities at First Baptist Church Broad. Rev. Hawkins has served over 20 years as a non-profit administrator within the Memphis and Shelby County Communities, and is presently the Executive Director of Memphis Gridiron Ministries, a Christian Youth Football Program in the Binghampton Community.
Rev. Nyrone Hawkins considers himself a “grandson” of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, and has the vision for the church to once again be the “feet and hands” of the Glenview Community. Because of his deep love for Christ, he is anxious for the church to once again be the heart of the community.
